HP3 History

HP3, Inc. (Healthcare’s Premier Professional Partnership) was founded in 1998 by Ruthann Russo, JD, MPH, RHIT and Joseph J. Russo, Esq. (former co-founders of Cabot Marsh Corporation), originally as a research institute to develop and distribute healthcare educational products designed to improve the reimbursement process for healthcare providers. In 2001, the company formally changed its name from HP3 Research Institute, Inc. to HP3 Healthcare Concepts, Inc. Thereafter, the company formally changed its name from HP3 Healthcare Concepts, Inc. to HP3, Inc.

HP3 provides clinical documentation, coding, and data solutions for improved reimbursement, compliance, and patient care. HP3 consultants assist healthcare providers throughout the United States in resolving challenging documentation, coding and data issues with solutions such as Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), coding, virtual and outsourced coding, Health Information Management (HIM) operational improvement, auditing, and data solutions. HP3 expert consulting services are provided by diverse management and technical teams that consist of coding and reimbursement experts, physicians, nurses, attorneys, and former hospital Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), and Chief Operating Officers (COOs).

HP3 compliments its expert consulting services with robust data analysis and predictive computer models. In addition, HP3 utilizes proprietary tools and software in the delivery of its consulting services and licenses same to providers.
