HP3 Employees Say…
"Ten years ago I was finishing my last semester at Adirondack Community College, ready to graduate with a degree in Health Information Technology. Jobs for new graduates in upstate New York were limited. I knew I wanted to be a coder, and local opportunities all wanted 'experience.' Being a single mom with small children, I was concerned about how I would take this degree and be able to support my children. I was going to school full time and working part time as a medical transcriptionist
making $7.00/hour.
In late March of 1996 I heard about a company that would hire new graduates and train them to be consultants in the HIM field. The company's HR director came to our school and talked about the firm's vision, passion and possibilities to a new graduate. Ruthann and Joe Russo put together a program that would train, mentor and provide me with the experience I would need to be successful in the world of HIM. I couldn’t wait to get started!
The training and commitment that HP3 provided to me over the years has taken me to levels of success that I couldn’t have imagined. What began with a 'coding training program' has taken me on the career ride of a lifetime. I have had the pleasure to become very strong in all coding types, clinical documentation improvement and compliance. I am at heart a teacher, and I love sharing how hospitals, physicians and healthcare administrators can achieve exceptional outcomes by working
with the HP3 team. It truly isn’t a job at HP3—it is a testimony to achieving one's best. The leadership at HP3 values each employee, and you are never a number. Your manager will work with you every step of the way, utilizing your strengths, talents and individual 'uniqueness' to make you as successful as you want to be. The sky’s the limit.
Since joining the Russos I have held several different positions. I started as a coder, moved into a management role, and have also held external jobs as Director of Compliance for a multi-specialty physician clinic. Currently, I am serving as Director of Clinical Documentation Improvement and Education for a multi-hospital system in Indianapolis. In addition, I continue to serve in a part-time role as an internal consultant to HP3 for special projects.
Success requires two things. It starts with you. You need to take a risk, be willing to try something new, and commit to seeing your goal through to its fruition. The second thing you need is a company that will stand by you and offer you an environment for personal growth and personal excellence. HP3 is a firm that will believe in your best, expect your best and reward you every step of the way. There are no limits to what you can achieve at HP3." –Kathleen

"I am very indebted to HP3. At one point, I left the company for a competitor. There was nothing wrong with the company I joined, but I soon found I missed HP3, the people, and the culture. HP3 welcomed me back with open arms. It was like I had never left. I now know this is where my heart belongs." –Bonnie P., BS, CPC, CPC-H, CCS-P

There is always a resource person you can call. I don’t hesitate to call anyone for direction and guidance. You really feel part of the HP3 team." –Elizabeth S. RN, BA, CPC, CPC-H
"HP3 gave me a chance to learn, grow, and advance. You can’t ask for anything better!" –Connie G.
